The Power of a Simple Call

Imagine someone saying, “My daughter calls on Sundays, and that’s the highlight of my whole week. Talking to her gets me through the next six days.” This is the heartbreaking reality of deep loneliness, and it’s something we can—and must—address.
The truth is, many lonely adults struggle to identify the cause. Those with small or shrinking social networks are more likely to withdraw, leading to further isolation. Not surprisingly, loneliness is a major predictor of poor health.

Let’s work together to replace loneliness with fulfillment. To start, I encourage you to call your mom or dad today. A simple “How was your day?” can go a long way.
